#openAnyway

Mike & Ty Commit

Our personal health and safety depends on protecting our employees and guests, but also extends to protecting our community and Trinidad visitors.

Living with Covid-19 out there.

Is opening too early, better than opening too late? Of course it is. Too late is sadly here for many, and only days away for us and many others. With informed operating modifications, most businesses could be open and prepared for any Covid-19 developments.

Travel looks different now.

The Covid-19 crisis forced our local businesses and our communities to find new ways to more safely operate and support each other. We are ready to welcome visitors and host guests again.

Now, visitors want options that are closer to home, safer, and more affordable. But people also yearn for something that feels like it’s been taken away from them—human connection, Nature and freedom.

Trinidad Bay B&B Hotel

This crisis has sharpened our focus to what is truly special about staying with us. We're friendly everyday people hosting guests in our home and offering an unique experience of the town we love—Trinidad, California.

Guest experiences will always be part of our story. Stays live on past departures, and we're honored being part of their magic. It's this magic that so moved many of us—transformed us from visitors into lifelong friends and residents of Trinidad.

Welcome Guests ❤️

Open with Covid-19 modifications.

What happened?

We took precautions early on, at the start of the Covid-19 crisis. While we were able to stay open throughout the crisis, we were arbitrarily restricted to who we could host. Early emergency orders caused unprecedented cancellations, financial upheaval, and consequently, have put our livelihood and living here at risk.

What now?

To more safely operate and begin hosting out of area visitors again, we've adopted updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.*

We are cleaning and disinfecting based on recommendations from the CDC. We screen and help reschedule people who are sick. We recommend people at higher risk not travel until it's safer for them as described in CDC guidelines.*

With enhanced cleaning, screening, and minimizing person-to-person contact, we are confidently ready to be fully open and hosting again.

What next?

As the Covid-19 situation evolves, we will continue to closely monitor and adjust to it. As always, we will happily consider input from our community.

With our personal and business health and safety addressed, we must also continue to assist our community. As we do for our Guests, we will assist Trinidad visitors in making their visit safe and wonderful.

Health and safety is now foremost in our minds, and we ask our community for their continued support—for us and for our business, and for all people visiting Trinidad.
